I learned many valuable things from my dad.  Through his steadfast character, I learned integrity, through his endless patient teachings my brothers and I learned to "just be kids."  He just let boys be boys.  Whether running through creeks, fishing, camping, or woodworking, with each of these endeavors came the appreciation and respect for the use of knives.  My dad is never without a knife.  He once handmade a knife for me that I still cherish to this day.  My dad continues to instill the love of many things in me, my brothers, and our children, including family, outdoors, and of course knives.
